MK Dons Vs Sunderland: Confirmed Lineups

As expected, Martin O'Neill made changes to his side for tonight's Capital One Cup third round tie with MK Dons at Stadium:MK - the first ever meeting between the two sides (in this incarnation of the Dons).

Some of the changes were expected with Keiren Westwood and David Vaughan coming in, but others come as quite a shock as David Meyler takes a stab at the central defensive position with John O'Shea, Wes Brown, Carlos Cuellar and Titus Bramble all injured.

Elsewhere Louis Saha makes his first start for the club with Steven Fletcher on the bench. John Egan is also on the bench alongside Adam Johnson in what is a VERY attacking looking side.

Sunderland (4-3-3): Keiren Westwood; Craig Gardner, Danny Rose, David Meyler, Matt Kilgallon; Lee Cattermole, David Vaughan, Jack Colback; James McClean, Stephane Sessegnon, Louis Saha

Substitutes: Simon Mignolet, John Egan, Fraizer Campbell, Steven Fletcher, Ji Dong-Won, Connor Wickham, Adam Johnson

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson has kept faith with several of the side who put Bury to the sword this weekend gone, but did find room for four changes, and will be hoping his side can produce more of their highly lauded passing football and cause a big upset.

MK Dons (4-2-3-1): Ian McLoughlin; Adam Chicksen, Anthony Kay, Shaun Williams, Dean Lewington; Darren Potter, Stephen Gleeson; Daniel Powell, Luke Chadwick, Dean Bowditch; Alan Smith

Substitutes: Charlie Burns, Matthias Kouo-Doumbe, Charlie MacDonald, Ryan Lowe, Dele Alli, Jay O'Shea, Mason Spence

Usually after a game this will be the place to find more match reaction but as this one is a bit of a late night and we're all a little new to this version of Roker Report, David Boyle will be along with a full match report, as well as a brand new version of player ratings. We hope you enjoy this more full coverage of all things Sunderland!
