Ooooft! It's a new season, and Sunderland's best fanzine get's a brand new look. Grab your copy for just £2.50 tomorrow against Reading!
It's the new season, so of course it's time for another quality edition (yes, still top notch after over 20 years of production) of A Love Supreme.
Inside this sparkly new edition of Sunderland's longest serving and biggest selling fanzine you'll find all sorts of quality features, including a chat with Gary Bennett getting his thoughts on the season ahead. There's also a somewhat cynical look at the Olympic games from ALS' man who was there, James Hunt. There's a detailed account of the preseason from fellas who spent their summer following the lads all around the world and much more including the ever-popular Sobs column, from which we have this exclusive snippet;
We watched the male footballers roll in mock agony after the most innocuous of challenges, while the hockey players took a whack to the back of the head with a stick and carried on playing thanks to the application of a bit of bandage. Even the ladies of the football world showed up their male counterparts - the way the USA and Canada knocked seven bells out of each other might not have been pretty, but it showed how the physical side of the game doesn't necessarily mean a life-threatening injury. The Olympians, who've built their achievements on hour upon hour of toil on a daily basis, have made us football fans realise what mugs we've been.
So to get your hands on this you can simply rock up at your local WH Smiths who stock it, or any other good news agents in the North East and beyond. Or if you're at the Reading game tomorrow, pick one up from one of the delightful sellers spread around the outskirts of the ground, it's only £2.50 and choc-full of SAFC related awesomeness. Oh, and our column, this month from the desk of Michael Graham.
Get involved people. You won't regret it.
