Where do Sunderland go from here?

With 9 new signings throught the door, I expect we must be nearly done with the incomings to the club now (though rumours persist on Defoe and Bridge as possible further recruits). It looks as if the club has invested wisely with a good blend of youth and experience coming in. So based on what we have done, what are your expectations for the coming season? If you believe the tw@t that is Adrian Durham we will finish in the top 4 (a remarkable turnaround from someone slagging the club off the previous week - amazing what a torrent of abuse can do to someone), whereas new signing David Vaughan is slightly less ambitious with a top 6 finish. But what do we as fans expect and predict for the coming season?

For me, anything in the bottom half of the table would be classed as failure. I expect us to finish 8th but would hope to be pushing for 7th or 6th if we are lucky. Naturally, much will depend on what other clubs do in the transfer market, not everyone is as quick off the mark as monsieurs Bruce and Quinn afterall.

Have your prediction on where you think we will finish below. If you are feeling brave, state your prediction in the comments box together with which round we will reach in the FA Cup and Carling Cup so you can gloat about how you are the new Nostradamus or be ridiculed at your sheer stupidity:
